Three Key Points
- Bailey states that whether you are a new mom or an older person, you need to be a little bit proactive about those friendships where you just leave a conversation that felt a connection with someone and hope that you should catch up soon, but there's no contact number taken. Moms have the flexibility to carry on friendships, maybe in the workday to get to catch up with a friend.
- There's some research out there that these vague relationships are just as harmful as having no relationship at all because you're in this constant state of wondering, are we friends or not?
- Bailey’s book ‘Together is a Beautiful Place’ will be out in April and you can pre-order it now. The book is all about acknowledging the loneliness that we feel. Instead of allowing loneliness to kind of make you an outsider, you can choose to fight for togetherness. It's those safe friends that allow you to grow into who you're meant to be.
